My Approach
The goal for this project was to create a modern logo and brand identity that used champagne-gold colours and integrated dental imagery. It’s important for Jessica to be seen as a dental professional through the brand visuals. Her experience as a Dental Assistant stands out among other teeth-whitening providers, so the branding needed to represent this.
When creating the visuals, I expressed professionalism by using dark navy colours and champagne lettering with a modern, legible font. It’s important to avoid an overly clinical look, but rather look a bit more relatable and modern. A geometric style dental icon with a “B” at the top adds to the approachable, but sophisticated look. The dark designs are contrasted by lighter, more approachable white variations.
Brand Identity & Marketing Materials
The Bright Smiles Elgin logotype is a modern, bold, sans-serif font, that is easy to read in many sizes. It stands out among the many dental logos that tend to be either overly clinical, or cartoony. The geometric tooth with the “B” is approachable and modern. This is largely appealing to the main clientele which is women, aged 25-45. The icon-only version of the logo is used on social media to make it easy for potential clients to recognize the brand.
Below is Jessica’s business card design. The dark logo side contrasts the lighter, more friendly side with contact information. The lighter background makes the small text more legible. The front logo is a foil print on matte card stock, which stand out on the navy blue background.
Next, are some social media designs that create brand consistency across all platforms. These posts, cover photos, and profile images create brand recognition for her followers and give an inside look at her studio. The images are legible and usable on all device sizes.
Below are some marketing collateral examples that really bring the branding together. The price list is used in the studio and the dental-treatment card is handed out after appointments for follow-up instructions on caring for teeth. The shopping bag is for additional whitening products that clients purchase.
